16 When He utters His voice—
There is a multitude of waters in the heavens:
(A)“He causes the vapors to ascend from the ends of the earth;
He makes lightnings for the rain;
He brings the wind out of His treasuries.”

17 (B)Everyone is dull-hearted, without knowledge;
Every metalsmith is put to shame by the carved image;
(C)For his molded image is falsehood,
And there is no breath in them.
18 They are futile, a work of errors;
In the time of their punishment they shall perish.

    he makes clouds rise from the ends of the earth.

    and brings out the wind from his storehouses.(C)

17 “Everyone is senseless and without knowledge;
    every goldsmith is shamed by his idols.
The images he makes are a fraud;(D)
    they have no breath in them.
18 They are worthless,(E) the objects of mockery;
    when their judgment comes, they will perish.
