Jeremiah 50:14-16

14 Arrange your battle lines against Babylon on every side,
All you who [a]bend the bow;
Shoot at her, do not be sparing with your arrows,
For she has (A)sinned against Yahweh.
15 Raise a loud shout against her on every side!
She has (B)given [b]herself up, her pillars have fallen,
Her (C)walls have been pulled down.
For this is the (D)vengeance of Yahweh:
Take vengeance on her;
(E)As she has done to others, so do to her.
16 Cut off the (F)sower from Babylon
And the one who seizes the sickle at the time of harvest;
From before [c]the (G)sword of the oppressor
(H)They will each turn back to his own people,
And they will each flee to his own land.

14 Take up your positions around Babylon,
all you archers;
now shoot at her;
save none of your arrows,
because she’s sinned against the Lord.
15 Raise a victory shout against her on every side!
She’s surrendered;
her towers have collapsed;
her walls are destroyed.
This is the Lord’s retribution;
now pay her back:
do to her what she’s done to others!
16 Cut Babylon off from those who plant
and those who harvest the crops,
because of its ruthless sword.[a]
Now return, all of you, to your people;
flee to your homeland!
