Jeremiah 50:11-13
New American Standard Bible
11 “Because you are glad, because you are jubilant,
You who (A)pillage My heritage,
Because you skip about [a]like a threshing (B)heifer
And neigh like [b]stallions,
12 Your (C)mother [c]will be greatly ashamed,
She who gave you birth [d]will be humiliated.
Behold, she will be the least of the nations,
A (D)wilderness, a dry land and a desert.
13 Because of the wrath of the Lord she will (E)not be inhabited,
But she will be (F)completely desolate;
Everyone who passes by Babylon (G)will be horrified
And will hiss because of all her wounds.

Babylon’s Sure Fall
11 “You rejoice and are glad,
you who plundered my chosen people.
You frisk about like a calf in a meadow
and neigh like a stallion.
12 But your homeland[a] will be overwhelmed
with shame and disgrace.
You will become the least of nations—
a wilderness, a dry and desolate land.
13 Because of the Lord’s anger,
Babylon will become a deserted wasteland.
All who pass by will be horrified
and will gasp at the destruction they see there.
