³⁰ “An appalling and ^(A)horrible thing
Has happened in the land:
³¹ The ^(B)prophets prophesy falsely,
And the priests rule ^[a]on their own authority;
And My people ^(C)love it so!
But what will you do at the end of it?

⁶ Therefore ^(A)a lion from the forest will slay them,
A ^(B)wolf of the deserts will destroy them,
A ^(C)leopard is watching their cities.
Everyone who goes out of them will be torn in pieces,
Because their ^(D)transgressions are many,
Their apostasies are numerous.
