Jeremiah 4:18-21
New American Standard Bible
18 Your (A)ways and your deeds
Have [a]brought these things upon you.
This is your evil. How (B)bitter!
How it has touched your heart!”
Grief over Judah’s Devastation
19 (C)My [b]soul, my [c]soul! I am in anguish! [d]Oh, my heart!
My (D)heart is pounding in me;
I cannot keep silent,
Because, [e]my soul, you have heard
The (E)sound of the trumpet,
The alarm of war.
20 (F)Disaster upon disaster is proclaimed,
For the (G)whole land is devastated;
Suddenly my (H)tents are devastated,
And my curtains in an instant.
21 How long must I see the flag
And hear the sound of the trumpet?
