Jeremiah 49:8-10
New American Standard Bible 1995
8 “Flee away, turn back, dwell in the depths,
O inhabitants of (A)Dedan,
For I [a]will bring the (B)disaster of Esau upon him
At the time I [b]punish him.
9 “(C)If grape gatherers came to you,
Would they not leave gleanings?
If thieves came by night,
They would destroy only [c]until they had enough.
10 “But I have (D)stripped Esau bare,
I have uncovered his hiding places
So that he will not be able to conceal himself;
His [d]offspring has been destroyed along with his [e]relatives
And his neighbors, and (E)he is no more.

New International Version
8 Turn and flee, hide in deep caves,(A)
you who live in Dedan,(B)
for I will bring disaster on Esau
at the time when I punish him.
9 If grape pickers came to you,
would they not leave a few grapes?
If thieves came during the night,
would they not steal only as much as they wanted?
10 But I will strip Esau bare;
I will uncover his hiding places,(C)
so that he cannot conceal himself.
His armed men are destroyed,
also his allies and neighbors,
so there is no one(D) to say,
