Jeremiah 49:5-7

⁵ Look, I am about to bring terror on you^(A)—
this is the declaration of the Lord God of Armies—
from all those around you.
You will be banished, each person headlong,
with no one to gather up the fugitives.
⁶ But after that, I will restore the fortunes^[a] of the Ammonites.^(B)
This is the Lord’s declaration.

Is there no longer wisdom in Teman?^(D)
Has counsel perished from the prudent?
Has their wisdom rotted away?^(E)
