Jeremiah 44:5-7

5 (A)But they did not listen (B)or incline their ear, to turn from their evil and make no offerings to other gods. 6 (C)Therefore my wrath and my anger were poured out and kindled in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem, (D)and they became a waste and a desolation, as at this day. 7 And now thus says the Lord God of hosts, the God of Israel: Why do you commit this great evil (E)against yourselves, to cut off from you (F)man and woman, (G)infant and child, from the midst of Judah, leaving you no remnant?

5 But they did not listen or pay attention;(A) they did not turn from their wickedness(B) or stop burning incense(C) to other gods.(D) 6 Therefore, my fierce anger was poured out;(E) it raged against the towns of Judah and the streets of Jerusalem and made them the desolate ruins(F) they are today.
7 “Now this is what the Lord God Almighty, the God of Israel, says: Why bring such great disaster(G) on yourselves by cutting off from Judah the men and women,(H) the children and infants, and so leave yourselves without a remnant?(I)
