Jeremiah 43:4-7
New American Standard Bible
4 So (A)Johanan the son of Kareah and all the commanders of the forces, and all the people, (B)did not obey the voice of the Lord to (C)stay in the land of Judah. 5 Instead, Johanan the son of Kareah and all the commanders of the forces took the (D)entire remnant of Judah who had returned from all the nations to which they had been scattered, in order to reside in the land of Judah— 6 the men, the women, the [a]children, the (E)king’s daughters, and (F)every person whom Nebuzaradan the captain of the bodyguard had left with Gedaliah the son of Ahikam [b]and grandson of Shaphan, together with (G)Jeremiah the prophet and Baruch the son of Neriah— 7 and they entered the land of Egypt (for they did not obey the voice of the Lord) and went in as far as (H)Tahpanhes.

4 So Joha′nan the son of Kare′ah and all the commanders of the forces and all the people did not obey the voice of the Lord, to remain in the land of Judah. 5 But Joha′nan the son of Kare′ah and all the commanders of the forces took all the remnant of Judah who had returned to live in the land of Judah from all the nations to which they had been driven— 6 the men, the women, the children, the princesses, and every person whom Nebu′zarad′an the captain of the guard had left with Gedali′ah the son of Ahi′kam, son of Shaphan; also Jeremiah the prophet and Baruch the son of Neri′ah. 7 And they came into the land of Egypt, for they did not obey the voice of the Lord. And they arrived at Tah′panhes.
