5 eighty men who had shaved off their beards,(A) torn their clothes(B) and cut(C) themselves came from Shechem,(D) Shiloh(E) and Samaria,(F) bringing grain offerings and incense(G) with them to the house of the Lord.(H) 6 Ishmael son of Nethaniah went out from Mizpah to meet them, weeping(I) as he went. When he met them, he said, “Come to Gedaliah son of Ahikam.”(J) 7 When they went into the city, Ishmael son of Nethaniah and the men who were with him slaughtered them and threw them into a cistern.(K)

5 ochenta hombres vinieron(A) de Siquem(B), de Silo(C) y de Samaria(D), con las barbas rapadas(E), las vestiduras rasgadas(F) y cubiertos de incisiones[a], y con ofrendas de cereal e incienso en sus manos, para llevarlos a la casa del Señor(G). 6 Entonces Ismael, hijo de Netanías, salió a su encuentro desde Mizpa, llorando mientras iba; y[b] cuando los encontró, les dijo: Venid(H) a Gedalías, hijo de Ahicam. 7 Y sucedió que cuando entraron en[c] la ciudad, Ismael, hijo de Netanías, y los hombres que con él estaban, los degollaron(I) y los echaron en la cisterna.
