Jeremiah 4:16-18
New International Version
16 “Tell this to the nations,
proclaim concerning Jerusalem:
‘A besieging army is coming from a distant land,(A)
raising a war cry(B) against the cities of Judah.(C)
17 They surround(D) her like men guarding a field,
because she has rebelled(E) against me,’”
declares the Lord.
18 “Your own conduct and actions(F)
have brought this on you.(G)
This is your punishment.
How bitter(H) it is!
How it pierces to the heart!”
Jeremiah 4:16-18
King James Version
16 Make ye mention to the nations; behold, publish against Jerusalem, that watchers come from a far country, and give out their voice against the cities of Judah.
17 As keepers of a field, are they against her round about; because she hath been rebellious against me, saith the Lord.
18 Thy way and thy doings have procured these things unto thee; this is thy wickedness, because it is bitter, because it reacheth unto thine heart.
