¹⁰ Then I said, “Ah, Lord God!
^(A)Surely You have greatly deceived this people and Jerusalem,
^(B)Saying, ‘You shall have peace,’
Whereas the sword reaches to the ^[a]heart.”

^(C)“Thus they have loved to wander;
They have not restrained their feet.
Therefore the Lord does not accept them;
^(D)He will remember their iniquity now,
And punish their sins.”
