17 “Therefore this is what the Lord says: ‘You have not obeyed Me in proclaiming [a]release, each one to his brother and each to his neighbor. Behold, I am (A)proclaiming a [b]release to you,’ declares the Lord, ‘to the (B)sword, to the plague, and to the famine; and I will make you a (C)terror to all the kingdoms of the earth. 18 I will give the people who have (D)violated My covenant, who have not fulfilled the words of the covenant which they made before Me, when they (E)cut the calf in two and passed between its parts— 19 the (F)officials of Judah and the officials of Jerusalem, the high officials and the priests, and all the people of the land who passed between the parts of the calf— 20 I will hand them over to their enemies and to those who (G)seek their lives. And their (H)dead bodies will be food for the birds of the sky and the animals of the earth.

I will make you a horror to all the kingdoms of the earth. 18 And the men who transgressed my covenant and did not keep the terms of the covenant which they made before me, I will make like[a] the calf which they cut in two and passed between its parts— 19 the princes of Judah, the princes of Jerusalem, the eunuchs, the priests, and all the people of the land who passed between the parts of the calf; 20 and I will give them into the hand of their enemies and into the hand of those who seek their lives. Their dead bodies shall be food for the birds of the air and the beasts of the earth.
