Jeremiah 30
Amplified Bible, Classic Edition
30 The word that came to Jeremiah from the Lord:
2 Thus says the Lord, the God of Israel: Write all the words that I have spoken to you in a book.
3 For, note well, the days are coming, says the Lord, when I will release from captivity My people Israel and Judah, says the Lord, and I will cause them to return to the land that I gave to their fathers, and they will possess it.
4 And these are the words the Lord spoke concerning Israel and Judah:
5 Thus says the Lord: We have heard a voice of trembling and panic—of terror, and not peace.
6 Ask now and see whether a man can give birth to a child? Why then do I see every man with his hands on his loins like a woman in labor? Why are all faces turned pale?
7 Alas! for that day will be great, so that none will be like it; it will be the time of Jacob’s [unequaled] trouble, but he will be saved out of it.(A)
8 For it will come to pass in that day, says the Lord of hosts, that I will break [the oppressor’s] yoke from your neck, and I will burst your bonds; and strangers will no more make slaves of [the people of Israel].
9 But they will serve the Lord their God and David’s [descendant] their King, Whom I will raise up for them.(B)
10 Therefore fear not, O My servant Jacob, says the Lord, nor be dismayed or cast down, O Israel; for behold, I will save you out of a distant land [of exile] and your posterity from the land of their captivity. Jacob will return and will be quiet and at ease, and none will make him afraid or cause him to be terrorized and to tremble.
11 For I am with you, says the Lord, to save you; for I will make a full and complete end of all the nations to which I have scattered you, but I will not make a full and complete end of you. But I will correct you in measure and with judgment and will in no sense hold you guiltless or leave you unpunished.
12 For thus says the Lord: Your hurt is incurable and your wound is grievous.
13 There is none to plead your cause; for [the pressing together of] your wound you have no healing [device], no binding plaster.
14 All your lovers (allies) have forgotten you; they neither seek, inquire of, or require you. For I have hurt you with the wound of an enemy, with the chastisement of a cruel and merciless foe, because of the greatness of your perversity and guilt, because your sins are glaring and innumerable.
15 Why do you cry out because of your hurt [the natural result of your sins]? Your pain is deadly (incurable). Because of the greatness of your perversity and guilt, because your sins are glaring and innumerable, I have done these things to you.
16 Therefore all who devour you will be devoured; and all your adversaries, every one of them, will go into captivity. And they who despoil you will become a spoil, and all who prey upon you will I give for a prey.
17 For I will restore health to you, and I will heal your wounds, says the Lord, because they have called you an outcast, saying, This is Zion, whom no one seeks after and for whom no one cares!
18 Thus says the Lord: Behold, I will release from captivity the tents of Jacob and have mercy on his dwelling places; the city will be rebuilt on its own [old] moundlike site, and the palace will be dwelt in after its former fashion.
19 Out of them [city and palace] will come songs of thanksgiving and the voices of those who make merry. And I will multiply them, and they will not be few; I will also glorify them, and they will not be small.
20 Their children too shall be as in former times, and their congregation shall be established before Me, and I will punish all who oppress them.
21 And their prince will be one of them, and their ruler will come from the midst of them. I will cause him to draw near and he will approach Me, for who is he who would have the boldness and would dare [on his own initiative] to approach Me? says the Lord.
22 Then you will be My people, and I will be your God.(C)
23 Behold, the tempest of the Lord has gone forth with wrath, a sweeping and gathering tempest; it shall whirl and burst upon the heads of the wicked.
24 The fierce anger and indignation of the Lord shall not turn back until He has executed and accomplished the thoughts and intents of His mind and heart. In the latter days you shall understand this.
Jeremija 30
Biblija: suvremeni hrvatski prijevod
Nada u povratak
30 Jeremija je primio poruku od BOGA: 2 »BOG Izraela kaže: ‘Zapiši sve što sam ti rekao u knjigu. 3 Jer, dolazi vrijeme, kaže BOG, kad ću promijeniti situaciju svog naroda, Izraela i Jude. Dovest ću ih natrag iz zarobljeništva u zemlju koju sam davno prije dao njihovim precima, a oni će je ponovo zaposjesti.’ Tako je rekao BOG.«
4 BOG je govorio o Izraelcima i Judejcima. 5 BOG je rekao:
»Čujem zvukove straha.
To je užas, a ne mir!
6 Pitajte i pogledajte:
moj slugo, Jakovljev narode.
Ne trebaš se plašiti, Izraele,
govori ti BOG.
Oslobodit ću te iz daleke zemlje,
iz zarobljeništva tvoje potomke.
Jakovljev narod će se vratiti,
mir i sigurnost uživati,
neprijatelji ga više neće zastrašivati.
11 Jer, ja sam s vama i spašavam vas.
Tako je rekao BOG.
Potpuno ću uništiti sve narode
među koje sam vas protjerao,
ali vas neću potpuno uništiti.
Kaznit ću vas koliko zaslužujete,
ali nećete proći nekažnjeno.«
12 Jer, BOG kaže:
»Vaša ozljeda ne može zarasti,
ta rana se ne može izliječiti.
13 Nitko se za vas neće pobrinuti,
nema lijeka za vaše rane.
14 Zaboravili su vas svi saveznici,
nije ih više briga za vas.
Napadao sam vas kao neprijatelj,
vaša kazna bila je okrutna.
Ali i vaša krivnja bila je velika,
previše je bilo vaših grijeha.
15 Zašto kukate zbog svoje rane
i boli koja se ne može ublažiti?
Nanosim vam je zbog velike krivnje,
zbog vaših prekobrojnih grijeha.
16 Ali, svi narodi, koji su vas napadali,
sada će i sami biti uništeni.
Svi vaši neprijatelji bit će zarobljeni,
a vaši pljačkaši opljačkani.
»No promijenit ću okolnosti života
u kojem živi Jakovljev narod.
Smilovat ću se njihovim uništenim domovima.
Grad će biti obnovljen na svom brdu,
palača podignuta na svome mjestu.
19 Svud će se čuti pjesme zahvale,
smijeh i glasovi radosnih ljudi.
Vrtlog njegovoga divljeg bijesa
sručit će se na glave zlikovaca.
24 Strašni BOŽJI gnjev neće prestati
dok ne izvrši kaznu koju je odredio.
A vi ćete tek kasnije sve razumjeti.

13 There is none to plead thy cause, that thou mayest be bound up: thou hast no healing medicines.
14 All thy lovers have forgotten thee; they seek thee not; for I have wounded thee with the wound of an enemy, with the chastisement of a cruel one, for the multitude of thine iniquity; because thy sins were increased.
15 Why criest thou for thine affliction? thy sorrow is incurable for the multitude of thine iniquity: because thy sins were increased, I have done these things unto thee.

18 Thus saith the Lord; Behold, I will bring again the captivity of Jacob's tents, and have mercy on his dwellingplaces; and the city shall be builded upon her own heap, and the palace shall remain after the manner thereof.
19 And out of them shall proceed thanksgiving and the voice of them that make merry: and I will multiply them, and they shall not be few; I will also glorify them, and they shall not be small.
20 Their children also shall be as aforetime, and their congregation shall be established before me, and I will punish all that oppress them.
21 And their nobles shall be of themselves, and their governor shall proceed from the midst of them; and I will cause him to draw near, and he shall approach unto me: for who is this that engaged his heart to approach unto me? saith the Lord.
22 And ye shall be my people, and I will be your God.
23 Behold, the whirlwind of the Lord goeth forth with fury, a continuing whirlwind: it shall fall with pain upon the head of the wicked.
24 The fierce anger of the Lord shall not return, until he hath done it, and until he have performed the intents of his heart: in the latter days ye shall consider it.
Jeremiah 30
New King James Version
Restoration of Israel and Judah
30 The word that came to Jeremiah from the Lord, saying, 2 “Thus speaks the Lord God of Israel, saying: ‘Write in a book for yourself all the words that I have spoken to you. 3 For behold, the days are coming,’ says the Lord, ‘that (A)I will bring back from captivity My people Israel and Judah,’ says the Lord. (B)‘And I will cause them to return to the land that I gave to their fathers, and they shall possess it.’ ”
4 Now these are the words that the Lord spoke concerning Israel and Judah.
5 “For thus says the Lord:
‘We have heard a voice of trembling,
Of [a]fear, and not of peace.
6 Ask now, and see,
Whether a [b]man is ever in [c]labor with child?
So why do I see every man with his hands on his loins
(C)Like a woman in labor,
And all faces turned pale?
7 (D)Alas! For that day is great,
(E)So that none is like it;
And it is the time of Jacob’s trouble,
But he shall be saved out of it.
8 ‘For it shall come to pass in that day,’
Says the Lord of hosts,
‘That I will break his yoke from your neck,
And will burst your bonds;
Foreigners shall no more enslave them.
9 But they shall serve the Lord their God,
And (F)David their king,
Whom I will (G)raise up for them.
10 ‘Therefore (H)do not fear, O My servant Jacob,’ says the Lord,
‘Nor be dismayed, O Israel;
For behold, I will save you from afar,
And your seed (I)from the land of their captivity.
Jacob shall return, have rest and be quiet,
And no one shall make him afraid.
11 For I am with (J)you,’ says the Lord, ‘to save you;
(K)Though I make a full end of all nations where I have scattered you,
(L)Yet I will not make a complete end of you.
But I will correct you (M)in justice,
And will not let you go altogether unpunished.’
12 “For thus says the Lord:
(N)‘Your affliction is incurable,
Your wound is severe.
13 There is no one to plead your cause,
That you may be bound up;
(O)You have no healing medicines.
14 (P)All your lovers have forgotten you;
They do not seek you;
For I have wounded you with the wound (Q)of an enemy,
With the chastisement (R)of a cruel one,
For the multitude of your iniquities,
(S)Because your sins have increased.
15 Why (T)do you cry about your affliction?
Your sorrow is incurable.
Because of the multitude of your iniquities,
Because your sins have increased,
I have done these things to you.
16 ‘Therefore all those who devour you (U)shall be devoured;
And all your adversaries, every one of them, shall go into (V)captivity;
Those who plunder you shall become (W)plunder,
And all who prey upon you I will make a (X)prey.
17 (Y)For I will restore health to you
And heal you of your wounds,’ says the Lord,
‘Because they called you an outcast saying:
“This is Zion;
No one seeks her.” ’
18 “Thus says the Lord:
‘Behold, I will bring back the captivity of Jacob’s tents,
And (Z)have mercy on his dwelling places;
The city shall be built upon its own [d]mound,
And the palace shall remain according to its own plan.
19 Then (AA)out of them shall proceed thanksgiving
And the voice of those who make merry;
(AB)I will multiply them, and they shall not diminish;
I will also glorify them, and they shall not be small.
20 Their children also shall be (AC)as before,
And their congregation shall be established before Me;
And I will punish all who oppress them.
21 Their nobles shall be from among them,
(AD)And their governor shall come from their midst;
Then I will (AE)cause him to draw near,
And he shall approach Me;
For who is this who pledged his heart to approach Me?’ says the Lord.
22 ‘You shall be (AF)My people,
And I will be your God.’ ”
23 Behold, the (AG)whirlwind of the Lord
Goes forth with fury,
A [e]continuing whirlwind;
It will fall violently on the head of the wicked.
24 The fierce anger of the Lord will not return until He has done it,
And until He has performed the intents of His heart.
(AH)In the latter days you will consider it.
