^18 (A)In those days the house of Judah will walk with the house of Israel, and they will come together ^(B)from the land of the north to the ^(C)land that I gave your fathers as an inheritance.

¹⁰ They have ^(A)turned back to the wrongdoings of their ^[a]ancestors who ^(B)refused to hear My words, and they ^(C)have followed other gods to serve them. The house of Israel and the house of Judah have ^(D)broken My covenant which I made with their fathers.”

¹⁷ The Lord of armies, who ^(A)planted you, has ^(B)pronounced evil against you because of the evil of the house of Israel and the house of Judah, which they have ^[a]done to provoke Me by ^[b](C)offering sacrifices to Baal.

¹¹ For as the undergarment clings to the waist of a man, so I made the entire household of Israel and the entire household of Judah ^(A)cling to Me,’ declares the Lord, ‘so that they might be My people, for ^[a](B)renown, for ^(C)praise, and for glory; but they ^(D)did not listen.’

A New Covenant

²⁷ “Behold, days are coming,” declares the Lord, “when I will ^(A)sow the house of Israel and the house of Judah with the seed of mankind and the seed of animals. ²⁸ And just as I have ^(B)watched over them to ^(C)uproot them, tear them down, ruin, destroy, and bring disaster on them, so I will watch over them to ^(D)build and to plant them,” declares the Lord.

³⁰ But ^(F)everyone will die for his own wrongdoing; each person who eats the sour grapes, his own teeth will become blunt.

³¹ “^(G)Behold, days are coming,” declares the Lord, “when I will make a ^(H)new covenant with the house of Israel and the house of Judah, ³² not like the ^(I)covenant which I made with their fathers on the day I ^(J)took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt, My ^(K)covenant which they broke, although I was a husband to them,” declares the Lord. ³³ “For ^(L)this is the covenant which I will make with the house of Israel after those days,” declares the Lord: “^(M)I will put My law within them and write it on their heart; and ^(N)I will be their God, and they shall be My people. ³⁴ They will ^(O)not teach again, each one his neighbor and each one his brother, saying, ‘Know the Lord,’ for they will all ^(P)know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them,” declares the Lord, “for I will ^(Q)forgive their wrongdoing, and their ^(R)sin I will no longer remember.”

The Davidic Kingdom

¹⁴ ‘Behold, ^(A)days are coming,’ declares the Lord, ‘when I will ^(B)fulfill the good word which I have spoken concerning the house of Israel and the house of Judah.

⁹ Then He said to me, “The guilt of the house of Israel and Judah is very, very great, and the land is ^(A)filled with blood, and the city is ^(B)full of perversion; for ^(C)they say, ‘The Lord has abandoned the land, and the Lord does not see!’

¹³ And it will come about that just as you were a ^(A)curse among the nations, house of Judah and house of Israel, so I will save you that you may become a ^(B)blessing. Do not fear; let your ^(C)hands be strong.’
