13 (A)Only acknowledge your iniquity,
That you have transgressed against the Lord your God,
And have (B)scattered your [a]charms
To (C)alien deities (D)under every green tree,
And you have not obeyed My voice,’ says the Lord.
14 “Return, O backsliding children,” says the Lord; (E)“for I am married to you. I will take you, (F)one from a city and two from a family, and I will bring you to (G)Zion. 15 And I will give you (H)shepherds according to My heart, who will (I)feed you with knowledge and understanding.

you have rebelled against the Lord your God,
you have scattered your favors to foreign gods(B)
under every spreading tree,(C)
and have not obeyed(D) me,’”
declares the Lord.
14 “Return,(E) faithless people,” declares the Lord, “for I am your husband.(F) I will choose you—one from a town and two from a clan—and bring you to Zion. 15 Then I will give you shepherds(G) after my own heart,(H) who will lead you with knowledge and understanding.
