27 At the beginning of the reign of Zedekiah[a] son of Josiah, king of Judah,(A) this word came to Jeremiah from the Lord:[b] 2 This is what the Lord said to me: “Make chains and yoke bars(B) for yourself and put them on your neck.(C) 3 Send word to the king of Edom, the king of Moab, the king of the Ammonites, the king of Tyre, and the king of Sidon(D) through messengers who are coming to King Zedekiah of Judah in Jerusalem.

27 In the beginning of the reign of Jehoiakim, the son of Josiah, the king of Judah, this word came to Jeremiah from Yahweh, saying[a]— 2 thus said Yahweh to me—“Make for yourself fetters and yokes and put them on your neck, 3 and send them to the king of Edom, and to the king of Moab, and to the king of the Ammonites,[b] and to the king of Tyre, and to the king of Sidon in the hand of the envoys who have come to Jerusalem, to Zedekiah, the king of Judah.
