11 “Then say to the household of the (A)king of Judah, ‘Hear the word of Yahweh, 12 O (B)house of David, thus says Yahweh:

(C)Render justice [a]every (D)morning;
And deliver the person who has been robbed from the [b]power of his oppressor,
(E)Lest My wrath go forth like fire
And (F)burn with none to extinguish it,
Because of the evil of their deeds.

13 “Behold, (G)I am against you, O (H)inhabitant of the valley,
O [c]rocky plain,” declares Yahweh,
“You men who say, ‘(I)Who will come down against us?
Or who will enter into our dwelling places?’
14 But I will punish you (J)according to the [d]results of your deeds,” declares Yahweh,
“And I will (K)kindle a fire in its forest

A Series of Messages for the House of the King of Judah

11 “And to the house of the king of Judah, ‘Hear the word of Yahweh, 12 O house of David, thus says Yahweh,

“Execute judgment in the morning, justice,
    and deliver the one who has been seized
from the hand of the oppressor,
    lest my wrath goes forth like the fire and it burns,
and there is no one who quenches it[a]
    because of the evil of your deeds.
13 Look, I am against you,
    O inhabitants[b] of the valley,
    O rock of the plain,” declares[c] Yahweh;
“you who say, ‘Who can descend against us,
    or who can enter into our hiding place?’
14 And I will punish you
    according to the fruit of your deeds,” declares[d] Yahweh,
“And I will kindle a fire in its forest,
    and it will devour all its surroundings.”’”
