For this is what the Lord says: ‘I will make you a terror to yourself and to all your friends; with your own eyes(A) you will see them fall by the sword of their enemies. I will give(B) all Judah into the hands of the king of Babylon, who will carry(C) them away to Babylon or put them to the sword.

27 There at Riblah,(A) in the land of Hamath, the king had them executed.

So Judah went into captivity, away(B) from her land. 28 This is the number of the people Nebuchadnezzar carried into exile:(C)

in the seventh year, 3,023 Jews;

29 in Nebuchadnezzar’s eighteenth year,

832 people from Jerusalem;

30 in his twenty-third year,

745 Jews taken into exile(D) by Nebuzaradan the commander of the imperial guard.

There were 4,600 people in all.(E)
