Jeremiah 20:2-4

2 Then (A)Pashhur beat Jeremiah the prophet, and put him (B)in the stocks that were in the upper (C)Benjamin Gate of the house of the Lord. 3 The next day, when (D)Pashhur released Jeremiah from the stocks, Jeremiah said to him, “The Lord does not call your name (E)Pashhur, but Terror on Every Side. 4 For thus says the Lord: Behold, I will make you (F)a terror to yourself and to all your friends. They shall fall by the sword of their enemies while you look on. And I will give all Judah into the hand of the king of Babylon. He shall carry them captive to Babylon, and shall strike them down with the sword.

New International Version
2 he had Jeremiah the prophet beaten(A) and put in the stocks(B) at the Upper Gate of Benjamin(C) at the Lord’s temple. 3 The next day, when Pashhur released him from the stocks, Jeremiah said to him, “The Lord’s name(D) for you is not Pashhur, but Terror on Every Side.(E) 4 For this is what the Lord says: ‘I will make you a terror to yourself and to all your friends; with your own eyes(F) you will see them fall by the sword of their enemies. I will give(G) all Judah into the hands of the king of Babylon, who will carry(H) them away to Babylon or put them to the sword.

2 Then Pashhur struck Jeremiah the prophet, and put him in the stocks that were in the high (A)gate of Benjamin, which was by the house of the Lord.
3 And it happened on the next day that Pashhur brought Jeremiah out of the stocks. Then Jeremiah said to him, “The Lord has not called your name Pashhur, but [a]Magor-Missabib. 4 For thus says the Lord: ‘Behold, I will make you a terror to yourself and to all your friends; and they shall fall by the sword of their enemies, and your eyes shall see it. I will (B)give all Judah into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he shall carry them captive to Babylon and slay them with the sword.
