^13 (A)Therefore I will cast you out of this land ^(B)into a land that you do not know, neither you nor your fathers; and there you shall serve other gods day and night, where I will not show you favor.’

³⁶ “The Lord will ^(A)bring you and the king whom you set over you to a nation which neither you nor your fathers have known, and ^(B)there you shall serve other gods—wood and stone.

^26 (A)I call heaven and earth to witness against you this day, that you will soon utterly perish from the land which you cross over the Jordan to possess; you will not ^[a]prolong your days in it, but will be utterly destroyed. ²⁷ And the Lord ^(B)will scatter you among the peoples, and you will be left few in number among the nations where the Lord will drive you. ²⁸ And ^(C)there you will serve gods, the work of men’s hands, wood and stone, ^(D)which neither see nor hear nor eat nor smell.

^20 (A)then I will uproot them from My land which I have given them; and this house which I have ^[a]sanctified for My name I will cast out of My sight, and will make it a proverb and a ^(B)byword among all peoples.

¹⁷ But if your heart turns away so that you do not hear, and are drawn away, and worship other gods and serve them, ^18 (A)I announce to you today that you shall surely perish; you shall not prolong your days in the land which you cross over the Jordan to go in and possess.

²⁷ (for all these abominations the men of the land have done, who were before you, and thus the land is defiled), ²⁸ lest ^(A)the land vomit you out also when you defile it, as it vomited out the nations that were before you.
