Jeremiah 15:15-18
New King James Version
15 O Lord, (A)You know;
Remember me and [a]visit me,
And (B)take vengeance for me on my persecutors.
In Your enduring patience, do not take me away.
Know that (C)for Your sake I have suffered rebuke.
16 Your words were found, and I (D)ate them,
And (E)Your word was to me the joy and rejoicing of my heart;
For I am called by Your name,
O Lord God of hosts.
17 (F)I did not sit in the assembly of the mockers,
Nor did I rejoice;
I sat alone because of Your hand,
For You have filled me with indignation.
18 Why is my (G)pain perpetual
And my wound incurable,
Which refuses to be healed?
Will You surely be to me (H)like an unreliable stream,
As waters that [b]fail?

Daniel 8:23-27
New King James Version
23 “And in the latter time of their kingdom,
When the transgressors have reached their fullness,
A king shall arise,
(A)Having fierce [a]features,
Who understands sinister schemes.
24 His power shall be mighty, (B)but not by his own power;
He shall destroy [b]fearfully,
(C)And shall prosper and thrive;
(D)He shall destroy the mighty, and also the holy people.
25 “Through(E) his cunning
He shall cause deceit to prosper under his [c]rule;
(F)And he shall exalt himself in his heart.
He shall destroy many in their prosperity.
(G)He shall even rise against the Prince of princes;
But he shall be (H)broken without human [d]means.
26 “And the vision of the evenings and mornings
Which was told is true;
(I)Therefore seal up the vision,
For it refers to many days in the future.”
27 (J)And I, Daniel, fainted and was sick for days; afterward I arose and went about the king’s business. I was [e]astonished by the vision, but no one understood it.
