¹⁶ And ^(A)I will declare my judgments against them, for all their evil ^(B)in forsaking me. ^(C)They have made offerings to other gods and ^(D)worshiped the works of their own hands.

¹⁹ And when your people say, ^(A)‘Why has the Lord our God done all these things to us?’ you shall say to them, ‘As you have forsaken me and served foreign gods in your land, ^(B)so you shall serve foreigners in a land that is not yours.’”

¹⁰ They have turned back to ^(A)the iniquities of their forefathers, who refused to hear my words. ^(B)They have gone after other gods to serve them. ^(C)The house of Israel and the house of Judah have broken my covenant that I made with their fathers.
