⁹ Will you steal, murder, commit adultery, swear falsely, make offerings to Baal, and go after other gods that you have not known^(A)

¹⁰ and then come and stand before me in this house, which is called by my name, and say, “We are safe!”—only to go on doing all these abominations?^(A)

⁹ In you are those who slander to shed blood, those in you who eat upon the mountains, who commit lewdness in your midst.^(A)

²⁷ So I will put an end to your lewdness and your prostitution brought from the land of Egypt; you shall not long for them or remember Egypt any more.^(A)
