From the midst of Jerusalem!
Now blow a trumpet in Tekoa
And raise a signal over ^[a](B)Beth-haccerem,
For evil looks down from the ^(C)north,
As well as great destruction.

8 ^(A)Put the trumpet to your ^[a]mouth!
^(B)Like an eagle the enemy comes ^(C)against the house of Yahweh
Because they have ^(D)trespassed against My covenant
And transgressed against My ^(E)law.
