(A)Flee from the midst of Babylon,
And each of you save his life!
Do not (B)perish in her [a]punishment,
For this is the (C)Lords time of vengeance;
He is going to (D)repay to her what she deserves.
Babylon has been a golden (E)cup in the hand of the Lord,
Intoxicating all the earth.
The (F)nations have drunk of her wine;
Therefore the nations are (G)going insane.
Suddenly (H)Babylon has fallen and been broken;
(I)Wail over her!
(J)Bring [b]balm for her pain;
Perhaps she may be healed.
We applied healing to Babylon, but she was not healed;
Abandon her and (K)let’s each go to his own country,
For her judgment has (L)reached to heaven
And it rises to the clouds.
10 The Lord has (M)brought [c]about our vindication;
Come and let’s (N)recount in Zion
The work of the Lord our God!

Flee out of the midst of Babylon, and save every man his life; be not cut off in her iniquity: for it is the time of Jehovah’s vengeance; he will render unto her a recompense. Babylon hath been a golden cup in Jehovah’s hand, that made all the earth drunken: the nations have drunk of her wine; therefore the nations are mad. Babylon is suddenly fallen and destroyed: wail for her; take balm for her pain, if so be she may be healed. We would have healed Babylon, but she is not healed: forsake her, and let us go every one into his own country; for her judgment reacheth unto heaven, and is lifted up even to the skies. 10 Jehovah hath brought forth our righteousness: come, and let us declare in Zion the work of Jehovah our God.
