Jeremiah 51:54-56

⁵⁴ The ^(A)sound of an outcry from Babylon,
And of great destruction from the land of the Chaldeans!
⁵⁵ For Yahweh is going to destroy Babylon,
And He will make her loud ^[a]noise ^[b]vanish from her.
And their ^(B)waves will roar like many waters;
The rumbling of their voices ^[c]sounds forth.
⁵⁶ For the ^(C)destroyer is coming against her, against Babylon,
And her mighty men will be captured;
Their ^(D)bows are shattered;
For Yahweh is a God of ^(E)recompense,
He will fully repay.
