Jeremiah 51:2-4

New International Version

² I will send foreigners^(A) to Babylon
    to winnow^(B) her and to devastate her land;
they will oppose her on every side
    in the day^(C) of her disaster.
³ Let not the archer string his bow,^(D)
    nor let him put on his armor.^(E)
Do not spare her young men;
    completely destroy^[a] her army.
⁴ They will fall^(F) down slain in Babylon,^[b]
    fatally wounded in her streets.^(G)
