¹⁰ “Go through her vineyards and ravage them,
    but do not destroy them completely.^(A)
Strip off her branches,
    for these people do not belong to the Lord.

¹¹ I am with you^(A) and will save you,’
    declares the Lord.
‘Though I completely destroy all the nations
    among which I scatter you,
    I will not completely destroy^(B) you.
I will discipline^(C) you but only in due measure;
    I will not let you go entirely unpunished.’^(D)

“As a shepherd rescues from the lion’s^(A) mouth
    only two leg bones or a piece of an ear,
so will the Israelites living in Samaria be rescued,
    with only the head of a bed
    and a piece of fabric^[a] from a couch.^[b](B)”
