^29 (A)We have heard of the pride of Moab—he is very proud—
Of his haughtiness, his ^(B)pride, his arrogance, and the exaltedness of his heart.

“For three transgressions of ^(A)Moab and for four
I will not turn back its punishment
Because he ^(B)burned the bones of the king of Edom to lime.

³ The ^(A)arrogance of your heart has deceived you,
You who dwell in the clefts of ^[a]the ^(B)cliff,
In the height of your habitation,
Who says in his heart,
‘^(C)Who will bring me down to earth?’
⁴ Though you ^(D)build loftily like the eagle,
Though you set your nest among the ^(E)stars,
From there I will bring you down,” declares Yahweh.
