³ Therefore the land ^(A)mourns,
And everyone who inhabits it languishes
Along with the beasts of the field and the birds of the sky,
And also the fish of the sea ^[a]disappear.

In ^(A)whirlwind and storm is His way,
And ^(B)clouds are the dust beneath His feet.

⁴ He ^(C)rebukes the sea and makes it dry;
He dries up all the rivers.
^(D)Bashan and Carmel languish;
The blossoms of Lebanon languish.

⁵ Mountains ^(E)quake because of Him,

And the hills ^(F)melt;
Indeed the earth is ^(G)upheaved by His presence,
The ^(H)world and all the inhabitants in it.

^6 (I)Who can stand before His indignation?
Who can endure the ^(J)burning of His anger?
