²In the eleventh year of Zedekiah, in the fourth month, on the ninth day of the month, a breach was made in the city.

²And on the ninth day of the fourth^(A) month of Zedekiah’s eleventh year, the city wall^(B) was broken through.^(C)

⁸^(A)The Chaldeans burned the king's house and the house of the people, ^(B)and broke down the walls of Jerusalem.

⁸The Babylonians^[a] set fire^(A) to the royal palace and the houses of the people and broke down the walls^(B) of Jerusalem.
