²¹ Then King Zedekiah gave commandment, and they committed Jeremiah to the ^(A)court of the guard and gave him a loaf of ^(B)bread daily from the bakers’ street, until all the bread in the city had ^(C)come to an end. So Jeremiah remained in the court of the guard.

⁶ On the ninth day of the ^(A)fourth month, the ^(B)famine was so strong in the city that there was no food for the people of the land.
