10 “Thus says the Lord: In this place (A)of which you say, ‘It is a waste without man or beast,’ in the cities of Judah and the streets of Jerusalem that are desolate, without man or inhabitant or beast, there shall be heard again 11 (B)the voice of mirth and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom and the voice of the bride, the voices of those who sing, as they bring (C)thank offerings to the house of the Lord:

(D)“‘Give thanks to the Lord of hosts,
    for the Lord is good,
    for his steadfast love endures forever!’

(E)For I will restore the fortunes of the land as at first, says the Lord.

10 “Thus says Yahweh: ‘Again will be heard in this place, of which you are saying, “It is a waste, without[a] people and without[b] animals,”[c] in the towns of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem that are desolate, without[d] people and without[e] inhabitants[f] and without[g] animals,[h] 11 the voice of jubilation, and the voice of joy, the voice of the bridegroom, and the voice of the bride, the voices[i] of those who say, “Praise Yahweh of hosts, for Yahweh is good, for his loyal love is forever,”[j] the voices of those who bring thank offerings[k] to the house of Yahweh, for I will restore the fortunes[l] of the land as in the beginning,’ says Yahweh.

“Give thanks to the Lord Almighty,
    for the Lord is good;(E)
    his love endures forever.”(F)

For I will restore the fortunes(G) of the land as they were before,(H)’ says the Lord.
