10 And I signed on the letter[a] and sealed it,[b] and I called witnesses as witness, and I weighed out the money on a set of scales. 11 Then I took the deed[c] of the purchase, the sealed copy containing the commandments[d] and the rules, together with the one that was open. 12 And I gave the deed of the purchase to Baruch the son of Neriah, the son of Mahseiah, in the presence of[e] Hanamel, the son of my uncle, and in the presence of[f] the witnesses who signed the deed of the purchase, in the presence of[g] the Judeans[h] who were sitting in the courtyard of the guard.

10 I signed and sealed the deed,(A) had it witnessed,(B) and weighed out the silver on the scales. 11 I took the deed of purchase—the sealed copy containing the terms and conditions, as well as the unsealed copy— 12 and I gave this deed to Baruch(C) son of Neriah,(D) the son of Mahseiah, in the presence of my cousin Hanamel and of the witnesses who had signed the deed and of all the Jews sitting in the courtyard of the guard.
