15 Why cryest thou for thine affliction? thy sorrow is incurable, for the multitude of thine iniquities: because thy sins were increased, I have done these things unto thee.
16 [a]Therefore all they that devour thee, shall be devoured, and all thine enemies everyone shall go into captivity, and they that spoil thee, shall be spoiled, and all they that rob thee, will I give to be robbed.
17 For I will restore health unto thee, and I will heal thee of thy wounds, saith the Lord, because they called thee, The castaway, saying, This is Zion whom no man seeketh after.

15 Why do you cry out over your wound,
your pain that has no cure?(A)
Because of your great guilt and many sins
I have done these things to you.(B)
16 “‘But all who devour(C) you will be devoured;
all your enemies will go into exile.(D)
Those who plunder(E) you will be plundered;
all who make spoil of you I will despoil.
17 But I will restore you to health
and heal(F) your wounds,’
declares the Lord,
‘because you are called an outcast,(G)
Zion for whom no one cares.’(H)
