6 Take (A)wives and father sons and daughters, and take wives for your sons and give your daughters to husbands, so that they may give birth to sons and daughters; and grow in numbers there and do not decrease. 7 (B)Seek the [a]prosperity of the city where I have sent you into exile, and (C)pray to the Lord in its behalf; for [b]in its [c]prosperity will be your [d]prosperity.’ 8 For this is what the Lord of armies, the God of Israel says: ‘Do not let your (D)prophets who are in your midst or your diviners (E)deceive you, and do not listen to their interpretations of (F)your dreams which you dream.

6 Marry and have sons and daughters; find wives for your sons and give your daughters in marriage, so that they too may have sons and daughters. Increase in number there; do not decrease.(A) 7 Also, seek(B) the peace and prosperity of the city to which I have carried you into exile. Pray(C) to the Lord for it, because if it prospers, you too will prosper.” 8 Yes, this is what the Lord Almighty, the God of Israel, says: “Do not let the prophets(D) and diviners among you deceive(E) you. Do not listen to the dreams(F) you encourage them to have.(G)
