¹⁰ “For thus says the Lord: ^(A)When seventy years are completed for Babylon, ^(B)I will visit you, ^(C)and I will fulfill to you my promise ^(D)and bring you back to this place. ^11 (E)For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare^[a] and not for evil, ^(F)to give you a future and a hope. ^12 (G)Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, ^(H)and I will hear you.

⁹ then those of you who escape ^(A)will remember me among the nations where they are carried captive, how ^(B)I have been broken over their whoring heart that has departed from me and over their eyes ^(C)that go whoring after their idols. ^(D)And they will be loathsome in their own sight for the evils that they have committed, for all their abominations.

⁴⁰ “But if ^(A)they confess their iniquity and the iniquity of their fathers in their treachery that they ^(B)committed against me, and also in walking contrary to me, ⁴¹ so that I walked contrary to them and brought them into the land of their enemies—if then their ^(C)uncircumcised heart is ^(D)humbled and they make amends for their iniquity, ⁴² then I will ^(E)remember my covenant with Jacob, and I will remember my covenant with Isaac and my covenant with Abraham, and I will ^(F)remember the land.
