8 As for the nation or country that won’t serve Babylon’s King Nebuchadnezzar and won’t put its neck under his yoke, I will punish it with sword, famine, and disease until I have destroyed it by his hand, declares the Lord. 9 As for you, don’t listen to your prophets, diviners, dreamers,[a] mediums, or your sorcerers who say to you, “Don’t serve the king of Babylon.” 10 They are lying to you, and their lies will lead to banishment from your land. I will drive you out, and you will perish.

8 “‘“If, however, any nation or kingdom will not serve Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon or bow its neck under his yoke, I will punish(A) that nation with the sword,(B) famine(C) and plague,(D) declares the Lord, until I destroy it by his hand. 9 So do not listen to your prophets,(E) your diviners,(F) your interpreters of dreams,(G) your mediums(H) or your sorcerers(I) who tell you, ‘You will not serve(J) the king of Babylon.’ 10 They prophesy lies(K) to you that will only serve to remove(L) you far from your lands; I will banish you and you will perish.
