⁹ behold, I will ^(A)send and take all the families of the north,’ declares Yahweh, ‘and I will send to Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, ^(B)My servant, and will bring them against this land and against its inhabitants and against all these surrounding nations; and I will ^[a]devote them to destruction and ^(C)make them an object of horror and of hissing and an everlasting waste place.

⁵ “^(A)I have made the earth, the men, and the animals which are on the face of the earth ^(B)by My great power and by My outstretched arm, and I will ^(C)give it to the one who is right in My eyes. ⁶ So now, I ^(D)have given all these lands into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, ^(E)My servant, and I have given him even the ^(F)wild beasts of the field to serve him. ^7 (G)All the nations shall serve him and his son and his grandson ^(H)until the time of his own land comes; then ^(I)many nations and great kings will ^[a]make him their servant.
