10 I will eliminate the sound of joy and gladness from them—the voice of the groom and the bride,(A) the sound of the millstones and the light of the lamp. 11 This whole land will become a desolate ruin, and these nations will serve the king of Babylon for seventy years.(B) 12 When the seventy years are completed, I will punish the king of Babylon and that nation’—this is the Lord’s declaration—‘the land of the Chaldeans, for their iniquity, and I will make it a ruin forever.(C)

10 I will banish from them the sounds(A) of joy and gladness, the voices of bride and bridegroom,(B) the sound of millstones(C) and the light of the lamp.(D) 11 This whole country will become a desolate wasteland,(E) and these nations will serve(F) the king of Babylon seventy years.(G)
12 “But when the seventy years(H) are fulfilled, I will punish the king of Babylon(I) and his nation, the land of the Babylonians,[a] for their guilt,” declares the Lord, “and will make it desolate(J) forever.
