Jeremiah 22:21-23
Living Bible
21 When you were prosperous, I warned you, but you replied, “Don’t bother me.” Since childhood you have been that way—you just won’t listen! 22 And now all your allies have disappeared with a puff of wind; all your friends are taken off as slaves. Surely at last you will see your wickedness and be ashamed. 23 It’s very nice to live graciously in a beautiful palace among the cedars of Lebanon, but soon you will cry and groan in anguish—anguish as of a woman in labor.

New International Version
21 I warned you when you felt secure,(A)
but you said, ‘I will not listen!’
This has been your way from your youth;(B)
you have not obeyed(C) me.
22 The wind(D) will drive all your shepherds(E) away,
and your allies(F) will go into exile.
Then you will be ashamed and disgraced(G)
because of all your wickedness.
23 You who live in ‘Lebanon,[a](H)’
who are nestled in cedar buildings,
how you will groan when pangs come upon you,
pain(I) like that of a woman in labor!

Jeremiah 22:21-23
King James Version
21 I spake unto thee in thy prosperity; but thou saidst, I will not hear. This hath been thy manner from thy youth, that thou obeyedst not my voice.
22 The wind shall eat up all thy pastors, and thy lovers shall go into captivity: surely then shalt thou be ashamed and confounded for all thy wickedness.
23 O inhabitant of Lebanon, that makest thy nest in the cedars, how gracious shalt thou be when pangs come upon thee, the pain as of a woman in travail!
