²⁷ But ^(A)if you do not listen to Me to keep the sabbath day holy by not carrying a load and coming in through the gates of Jerusalem on the sabbath day, then ^(B)I will kindle a fire in its gates, and it will ^(C)devour the palaces of Jerusalem and ^(D)not be quenched.”’”

¹³ But the house of Israel ^(A)rebelled against Me in the wilderness. They did not walk in My statutes, and they rejected My judgments, ^(B)which, if a man does them, he will live by them; and My ^(C)sabbaths they greatly profaned. Then I said I would ^(D)pour out My wrath on them in the wilderness, to completely destroy them.

²⁴ because they had not done My judgments, but had rejected My statutes and had profaned My sabbaths, and ^(A)their eyes were going after the idols of their fathers.
