¹⁴ Then Yahweh said to me, “The ^(A)prophets are prophesying lies in My name. ^(B)I have neither sent them nor commanded them nor spoken to them; they are prophesying to you a ^(C)vision of lies, divination, futility, and the deception of their own hearts.

¹⁴ So ^(A)do not listen to the words of the prophets who speak to you, saying, ‘You will not serve the king of Babylon,’ for they prophesy a ^(B)lie to you; ¹⁵ for ^(C)I have not sent them,” declares Yahweh, “but they ^(D)prophesy a lie in My name, in order that I may ^(E)banish you and that you may perish, ^(F)you and the prophets who prophesy to you.”

¹⁵ Then Jeremiah the prophet said to Hananiah the prophet, “Listen now, Hananiah, Yahweh has not sent you, and ^(A)you have made this people trust in a lie.

^6 (A)Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of these things ^(B)the wrath of God comes upon ^(C)the sons of disobedience.
