¹⁷ Now, ^(A)gird up your loins and arise and speak to them all which I command you. ^(B)Do not be dismayed before them, lest I dismay you before them. ¹⁸ Now behold, I have given you today as a fortified city and as a pillar of iron and as walls of bronze against the whole land, to the kings of Judah, to its princes, to its priests, and to the people of the land.

¹⁵ Only know for certain that if you put me to death, you will bring ^(A)innocent blood on yourselves and on this city and on its inhabitants; for truly Yahweh has sent me to you to speak all these words in your hearing.”

¹⁵ But Yahweh took me from ^[a]following the flock, and Yahweh said to me, ‘Go ^(A)prophesy to My people Israel.’

¹⁹ But ^(A)Peter and John answered and said to them, “^(B)Whether it is right in the sight of God to hear you rather than God, you be the judge;

²⁹ But Peter and the apostles answered and said, “^(A)We must obey God rather than men.
