Restoration of Israel and Judah
30 The word that came to Jeremiah from the Lord, saying, 2 “Thus speaks the Lord God of Israel, saying: ‘Write in a book for yourself all the words that I have spoken to you. 3 For behold, the days are coming,’ says the Lord, ‘that (A)I will bring back from captivity My people Israel and Judah,’ says the Lord. (B)‘And I will cause them to return to the land that I gave to their fathers, and they shall possess it.’ ”
4 Now these are the words that the Lord spoke concerning Israel and Judah.
5 “For thus says the Lord:
‘We have heard a voice of trembling,
Of [a]fear, and not of peace.
6 Ask now, and see,
Whether a [b]man is ever in [c]labor with child?
So why do I see every man with his hands on his loins
(C)Like a woman in labor,
And all faces turned pale?
7 (D)Alas! For that day is great,
(E)So that none is like it;
And it is the time of Jacob’s trouble,
But he shall be saved out of it.
8 ‘For it shall come to pass in that day,’
Says the Lord of hosts,
‘That I will break his yoke from your neck,
And will burst your bonds;
Foreigners shall no more enslave them.
9 But they shall serve the Lord their God,
And (F)David their king,
Whom I will (G)raise up for them.
10 ‘Therefore (H)do not fear, O My servant Jacob,’ says the Lord,
‘Nor be dismayed, O Israel;
For behold, I will save you from afar,
And your seed (I)from the land of their captivity.
Jacob shall return, have rest and be quiet,
And no one shall make him afraid.
11 For I am with (J)you,’ says the Lord, ‘to save you;
(K)Though I make a full end of all nations where I have scattered you,
(L)Yet I will not make a complete end of you.
But I will correct you (M)in justice,
And will not let you go altogether unpunished.’
12 “For thus says the Lord:
(N)‘Your affliction is incurable,
Your wound is severe.
13 There is no one to plead your cause,
That you may be bound up;
(O)You have no healing medicines.
14 (P)All your lovers have forgotten you;
They do not seek you;
For I have wounded you with the wound (Q)of an enemy,
With the chastisement (R)of a cruel one,
For the multitude of your iniquities,
(S)Because your sins have increased.
15 Why (T)do you cry about your affliction?
Your sorrow is incurable.
Because of the multitude of your iniquities,
Because your sins have increased,
I have done these things to you.
16 ‘Therefore all those who devour you (U)shall be devoured;
And all your adversaries, every one of them, shall go into (V)captivity;
Those who plunder you shall become (W)plunder,
And all who prey upon you I will make a (X)prey.
17 (Y)For I will restore health to you
And heal you of your wounds,’ says the Lord,
‘Because they called you an outcast saying:
“This is Zion;
No one seeks her.” ’
18 “Thus says the Lord:
‘Behold, I will bring back the captivity of Jacob’s tents,
And (Z)have mercy on his dwelling places;
The city shall be built upon its own [d]mound,
And the palace shall remain according to its own plan.
19 Then (AA)out of them shall proceed thanksgiving
And the voice of those who make merry;
(AB)I will multiply them, and they shall not diminish;
I will also glorify them, and they shall not be small.
20 Their children also shall be (AC)as before,
And their congregation shall be established before Me;
And I will punish all who oppress them.
21 Their nobles shall be from among them,
(AD)And their governor shall come from their midst;
Then I will (AE)cause him to draw near,
And he shall approach Me;
For who is this who pledged his heart to approach Me?’ says the Lord.
22 ‘You shall be (AF)My people,
And I will be your God.’ ”
23 Behold, the (AG)whirlwind of the Lord
Goes forth with fury,
A [e]continuing whirlwind;
It will fall violently on the head of the wicked.
24 The fierce anger of the Lord will not return until He has done it,
And until He has performed the intents of His heart.

30 Este es el mensaje que el SEÑOR le dio a Jeremías, diciendo: 2 «Esto dice el SEÑOR, Dios de Israel: “Escribe en un libro todos los mensajes que te he dado 3 porque llegará el momento, dice el SEÑOR, en que yo recuperaré todo lo que se le arrebató a mi pueblo, Israel y Judá”, dice el SEÑOR. Los traeré de regreso a esta tierra que les di a sus antepasados, y la poseerán».
4 Estos son los mensajes que dio el SEÑOR acerca de Israel y de Judá. 5 Esto dice el SEÑOR:
«La gente dice: “Hemos escuchado un grito de terror,
de miedo y no de paz”.
6 Pregunten ahora si es posible
que un hombre pueda dar a luz.
¿Por qué entonces veo a todos los guerreros
con sus manos en las caderas
como una mujer que da a luz?
¿Por qué su rostro
está tan pálido?
7 Ese día será muy importante,
no hay otro día igual;
un momento de angustia para Jacob,
pero será librado de ella.
8 »Ese día, dice el SEÑOR Todopoderoso, yo les romperé de su hombro el yugo que les impuso Babilonia, les quitaré sus ataduras y ya no serán más esclavos de extranjeros. 9 Ellos servirán al SEÑOR su Dios y a un descendiente del Rey David, a quien yo haré reinar sobre ellos.
10 »No sientas miedo, Jacob, siervo mío, dice el SEÑOR,
y no tiembles, Israel.
Yo te voy a rescatar de ese país lejano
y voy a rescatar a tus hijos de la tierra donde están desterrados.
Jacob regresará y estará en paz y seguro;
nadie lo hará temblar.
11 Yo estoy contigo, para rescatarte,
dice el SEÑOR.
Acabaré con todas las naciones
a las que te he arrojado.
Pero a ti no te destruiré,
sino que te corregiré justamente,
de ninguna manera te dejaré sin castigo».
12 Esto dice el SEÑOR:
«Tu herida es incurable,
no hay remedio para tu llaga.
13 No tienes abogado que me demande por la herida,
ni medicina para curarla.
14 Todos tus amantes te olvidaron;
ya no se preocupan por ti;
porque yo te he golpeado duramente
como lo haría un enemigo cruel,
debido a tu perversidad tan grande
y a que son demasiados tus pecados.
15 ¿Por qué te quejas de tus heridas?
Tu dolor es incurable.
Te he hecho todo eso por la gravedad de tu maldad
y por tus muchos pecados.
16 Pero todos los que ahora te devoran, serán devorados;
y todos y cada uno de tus enemigos irán al exilio.
Todos los que te saquean, serán saqueados;
y haré que les roben a los que ahora te roban a ti.
17 Porque te devolveré la salud
y te curaré las heridas,
dice el SEÑOR,
porque te han llamado “la abandonada”;
han dicho: “Esa es Sion,
la que no tiene quien se preocupe por ella”».
18 Esto dice el SEÑOR:
«Voy a recuperar lo que les han quitado a las carpas de Jacob,
y tendré compasión de sus hogares.
La ciudad será reconstruida de las ruinas
y el palacio volverá a quedar donde estaba.
19 Ellos entonarán canciones de agradecimiento
y darán gritos de alegría.
Yo los multiplicaré y no serán pocos.
Los haré importantes, nada insignificantes.
20 Yo restauraré a los descendientes de Jacob;
serán como el Israel de antes,
y castigaré a todos sus opresores.
21 Su líder saldrá de entre ellos mismos;
su gobernante será uno de ellos.
Yo haré que se acerque a mí
y él se acercará a mi lado,
porque ¿quién se atrevería
a acercarse a mí sin que yo lo llame?,
dice el SEÑOR.
22 Ustedes serán mi pueblo,
y yo seré su Dios».
23 ¡Miren! Es la tormenta del SEÑOR,
sale como un tornado que se precipita girando
sobre la cabeza de los perversos.
24 La ardiente ira del SEÑOR no se detendrá
hasta que haya realizado completamente
todo lo que tenía planeado.
