Warnung an das Königshaus von Juda
22 So sprach der Herr: Gehe hinab ins Haus des Königs von Juda und rede daselbst diese Worte: 2 Höre das Wort des Herrn, du König von Juda, der du auf dem Thron Davids sitzest, du samt deinen Knechten und deinem Volk, die zu diesen Toren eingehen! 3 So spricht der Herr: Schaffet Recht und Gerechtigkeit; errettet den Beraubten aus der Hand des Unterdrückers; den Fremdling, die Waise und die Witwe bedrückt und vergewaltigt nicht, vergießet kein unschuldiges Blut an diesem Ort! 4 Denn so gewiß ihr dieses Wort befolget, so sollen durch die Tore dieses Hauses Könige einziehen, die auf dem Throne Davids sitzen, reitend auf Wagen und Rossen, sie und ihre Knechte und ihr Volk. 5 Wenn ihr aber diesen Worten nicht gehorcht, so schwöre ich bei mir selbst, spricht der Herr, daß dieses Haus zur Ruine werden soll!
6 Denn also spricht der Herr über das Haus des Königs von Juda:
Gilead gleich giltst du mir, einem Gipfel des Libanon;
gewiß will ich dich zur Wüste machen,
zu einer unbewohnten Stadt!
7 Ich habe Verderber wider dich geweiht,
einen jeden mit seinen Waffen;
die werden deine auserlesenen Zedern abhauen
und ins Feuer werfen.
8 Und es werden viele Heiden an dieser Stadt vorüberziehen und einer zum andern sagen: Warum hat der Herr dieser großen Stadt also getan? 9 Und man wird antworten: Weil sie den Bund des Herrn, ihres Gottes, verlassen und andere Götter angebetet und ihnen gedient haben!
10 Beweinet nicht den Verstorbenen und beklaget ihn nicht!
Beweinet vielmehr den, der hinwegzieht;
denn er kehrt nicht wieder
und sieht sein Vaterland nicht mehr!
11 Denn also spricht der Herr von Sallum[a], dem Sohne Josias, des Königs von Juda, der anstelle seines Vaters Josia regierte und von diesem Orte weggezogen ist: Er wird nicht mehr hierher zurückkehren, 12 sondern an dem Ort, dahin man ihn gefangen geführt hat, soll er sterben und dieses Land nicht wiedersehen!
13 Wehe dem, der sein Haus mit Unrecht baut
und sein Söller mit Ungerechtigkeit,
der seinen Nächsten umsonst arbeiten läßt
und ihm den Lohn nicht gibt, der da spricht:
14 „Ich will mir ein geräumiges Haus
und luftige Söller bauen“,
und sich viele Fenster darein macht,
sie mit Zedern täfelt
und mit roter Farbe anstreicht!
15 Bist du damit König, daß du dich im Bau von Zedernpalästen hervortun kannst?
Hat nicht dein Vater auch gegessen und getrunken
und doch Recht und Gerechtigkeit geübt?
Damals stand es gut mit ihm.
16 Ja, wenn man den Bedrängten und Armen zum Recht verhilft,
dann steht es gut;
heißt solches nicht, mich erkennen? spricht der Herr.
17 Aber deine Augen und dein Herz
sind auf nichts anderes als auf deinen Gewinn aus
und auf das Vergießen unschuldigen Blutes
und auf Bedrückung und Mißhandlung, sie auszuüben.
18 Darum spricht der Herr also wider Jojakim, den Sohn Josias, den König von Juda:
Man wird nicht um ihn klagen:
„Ach, mein Bruder!“ oder „ach, meine Schwester!“
Man wird auch nicht um ihn klagen:
„Ach, mein Herr!“ oder „ach, seine Majestät!“,
19 sondern er soll wie ein Esel begraben werden,
indem man ihn fortschleift und hinwirft, fern von den Toren Jerusalems!
20 Steige auf den Libanon und schreie;
erhebe deine Stimme in Basan
und schreie vom Abarim herunter;
denn alle deine Liebhaber sind zerschmettert!
21 Ich habe zu dir geredet, als es dir noch wohl ging;
aber du sprachst: Ich mag nicht hören!
Das war deine Art von deiner Jugend an,
daß du nicht auf meine Stimme horchtest.
22 Der Sturmwind wird alle deine Hirten weiden,
und deine Liebhaber müssen in die Gefangenschaft wandern;
denn dann wirst du zuschanden werden und dich schämen müssen
ob aller deiner Boshet.
23 Die du jetzt auf dem Libanon wohnst
und auf Zedernbäumen nistest -,
wie wirst du stöhnen, wenn dich Wehen ankommen werden,
Krämpfe wie eine, die gebären soll!
24 So wahr ich lebe, spricht der Herr,
wenn gleich Konja[b], der Sohn Jojakims, der König von Juda,
ein Siegelring an meiner Hand wäre,
so wollte ich dich doch davon abreißen.
25 Und ich will dich in die Hand derer geben, die nach deinem Leben trachten,
in die Hand derer, vor welchen du dich fürchtest,
und in die Hand Nebukadnezars, des Königs zu Babel,
und in die Hand der Chaldäer;
26 und ich will dich samt deiner Mutter, die dich geboren hat,
in ein fremdes Land schleudern, darin ihr nicht geboren seid,
und daselbst sollt ihr sterben!
27 Aber in das Land, dahin sie zurückzukehren verlangen,
sollen sie nicht wieder kommen!
28 Ist dieser Mann, dieser Konja, nicht ein verworfenes, zerschmissenes Gefäß?
Ist er nicht ein Geschirr, an dem man kein Gefallen findet?
Warum würde er sonst samt seinem Samen weggeschleudert
und hingeworfen in ein Land, das ihnen unbekannt ist?
29 O Land, Land, Land,
höre des Herrn Wort!
30 So spricht der Herr:
Schreibet diesen Mann ein als einen Verlassenen,
als einen Menschen, dem es sein Leben lang nicht gelingen wird;
ja, es soll keinem seiner Nachkommen gelingen,
auf den Thron Davids zu kommen
und wiederum über Juda zu herrschen!

22 Así ha dicho el SEÑOR: “Desciende a la casa del rey de Judá y habla allí estas palabras. 2 Dile: ‘Escucha la palabra del SEÑOR, oh rey de Judá que estás sentado sobre el trono de David, tú, tus servidores y tu pueblo que entran por estas puertas. 3 Así ha dicho el SEÑOR: Practiquen el derecho y la justicia; libren a quien es despojado de mano del opresor; no maltraten ni traten con violencia al forastero ni al huérfano ni a la viuda; no derramen sangre inocente en este lugar. 4 Porque si realmente ponen por obra esta palabra, entonces entrarán por las puertas de esta casa, en carros y a caballo, los reyes que se sientan sobre el trono de David, ellosa, sus servidores y su pueblo. 5 Pero si no escuchan estas palabras, por mí mismo he jurado, dice el SEÑOR, que esta casa será desolada. 6 Porque así ha dicho el SEÑOR acerca de la casa del rey de Judá: Como Galaad eres tú para mí, y como la cumbre del Líbano. No obstante, te convertiré en desolación y en ciudades no habitadas. 7 He designado contra ti destructores, cada uno con sus armas. Ellos cortarán tus cedros escogidos y los echarán en el fuego. 8 Muchas naciones pasarán junto a esta ciudad, y se preguntarán unos a otros: ¿Por qué ha hecho así el SEÑOR a esta gran ciudad? 9 Y responderán: Porque abandonaron el pacto del SEÑOR su Dios, y se postraron ante otros dioses y les rindieron culto’ ”.
10 No lloren por un muerto; no se conduelan por él. Lloren amargamente por el que se va, porque jamás regresará ni volverá a ver la tierra donde nació. 11 Porque así ha dicho el SEÑOR acerca de Salum[a] hijo de Josías, rey de Judá, que sucedió a su padre Josías y que salió de este lugar: “No regresará acá jamás, 12 sino que en el lugar a donde lo han transportado, allí morirá y no volverá a ver esta tierra.

13 “Ay del que edifica su casa sin justicia, y sus salas sin derecho, sirviéndose de su prójimo de balde, sin pagarle su salario. 14 El que dice: ‘Edificaré para mí una casa espaciosa y amplias salas; le haré ventanas, la cubriré con cedro y la pintaré de ocre rojo’. 15 ¿Acaso reinarás porque compites con cedro? ¿Acaso no comió y bebió tu padre[b], y practicó el derecho y la justicia, y entonces le fue bien? 16 Él juzgó la causa del afligido y del necesitado; entonces le fue bien. ¿No es esto conocerme?, dice el SEÑOR. 17 Pero tus ojos y tu corazón no están puestos sino solo en tus ganancias deshonestas, en derramar sangre inocente, y en hacer agravio y extorsión”.
18 Por tanto, así ha dicho el SEÑOR acerca de Joacim hijo de Josías, rey de Judá: “No lo lamentarán diciendo: ‘¡Ay, hermano mío!’ y ‘¡Ay, hermana mía!’. Ni lo lamentarán diciendo: ‘¡Ay, señor!’ y ‘¡Ay de su esplendor!’. 19 Será enterrado con un entierro de asno, arrastrado y echado más allá de las puertas de Jerusalén.

20 “Sube al Líbano y grita; en Basán haz oír tu voz; grita desde Abarim. Porque todos tus amantes han sido quebrantados. 21 Te hablé en tu prosperidad, pero dijiste: ‘No escucharé’. Este ha sido tu camino desde tu juventud; que nunca has escuchado mi voz. 22 El viento apacentará a todos tus pastores, y tus amantes irán en cautiverio. Ciertamente te avergonzarás y serás afrentado a causa de toda tu maldad. 23 Habitaste en el Líbano; hiciste tu nido en los cedros. ¡Cómo gemirás cuando te vengan los dolores, angustia como la de la mujer que da a luz!
24 “¡Vivo yo, dice el SEÑOR, que si tú, Joaquín[c] hijo de Joacim, rey de Judá, fueras el anillo de sellar en mi mano derecha, aun de allí te arrancaría! 25 Te entregaré en mano de los que buscan tu vida, en mano de aquellos cuya presencia temes, en mano de Nabucodonosor, rey de Babilonia, y en mano de los caldeos. 26 Te arrojaré a ti y a tu madre que te dio a luz, a una tierra extraña donde no nacieron, y allá morirán. 27 Y a la tierra a la cual anhelan intensamente volver, allá no volverán. 28 ¿Acaso es este hombre Joaquín[d] una obra despreciable y rota? ¿Es acaso una vasija indeseable? ¿Por qué han sido arrojados él y sus descendientes, y echados a una tierra que no conocían?”.
29 ¡Oh tierra, tierra, tierra, escucha la palabra del SEÑOR! 30 Así ha dicho el SEÑOR: “Inscriban a este hombre como uno privado de descendencia. Será un hombre que no prosperará en los días de su vida. Porque ningún hombre de su descendencia logrará sentarse en el trono de David ni gobernar de nuevo en Judá.

Warning to David’s Heirs
22 Thus said Adonai: “Go down to the palace of the king of Judah and speak this word:
2 ‘Hear the word of Adonai, O king of Judah, who sits on the throne of David—you, your servants, and your people who enter by these gates.’ 3 Thus says Adonai: ‘Execute justice and righteousness. Rescue the one who is robbed out of the hand of the oppressor. Do not mistreat or do violence to the stranger, the fatherless or the widow. Do not shed innocent blood in this place. 4 For if you really carry out this word, then through the gates of this palace will enter kings sitting on the throne of David, riding in chariots and on horses—himself, his servants, and his people. 5 But if you will not obey these words, I swear by Myself,’ declares Adonai, ‘that this palace will become a ruin.’”
6 For thus says Adonai concerning the house of the king of Judah:
“You are Gilead to Me—
the summit of Lebanon,
yet I will surely make you into a wilderness,
uninhabited cities.
7 I will consecrate destroyers against you,
each with his own weapons.
They will cut down your choice cedars
and cast them into the fire.
8 Many nations will pass by this city, and they will say, each to his neighbor, ‘Why has Adonai done such a thing to this great city?’ 9 Then they will answer: ‘Because they abandoned the covenant of Adonai their God, and worshipped other gods and served them.’”
10 Weep not for the dead or bemoan him.
Weep bitterly for him who departs,
for he will never return,
or see his native country again.
11 For thus says Adonai to Shallum, son of King Josiah of Judah, who became king in place of his father Josiah: “He who went forth from this place will never return there. 12 Instead, in the place where they led him captive, there will he die—he will see this land no more.”
13 Oy to him who builds his house by unrighteousness,
and his roof-chambers by injustice,
that makes his neighbor work without pay,
never giving him his wages,
14 who says: “I will build myself a big house with spacious rooms
and cut out my windows for it,
and panel it with cedar,
and paint it with vermilion!
15 Did you become king
just to be striving with cedar?
Did your father not eat and drink,
and do justice and righteousness?
Then it went well with him.
16 He pled the case of the poor and weak,
so it went well.
Is not this knowledge of Me?”
It is a declaration of Adonai.
17 “But your eyes and your heart
are only on your unjust gain,
and on shedding innocent blood,
and committing extortion and fraud.”
18 Therefore thus says Adonai about Jehoiakim son of King Josiah of Judah:
“They will not lament for him,
‘Oy, my brother!’ or ‘Oy, sister!’
They will not lament for him,
‘Oy, master!’ or ‘Oy, his majesty!’
19 With a donkey’s burial will he be buried,
dragged off and thrown outside the gates of Jerusalem.
20 Go up to Lebanon and cry out,
and lift up your voice in Bashan,
and cry from Abarim—
for all your lovers are broken.
21 I spoke to you in your prosperity,
but you said, ‘I won’t listen!’
This has been your way since your youth—
for you never listened to My voice.
22 The wind will shepherd away all of your shepherds,
and your lovers will go into exile.
Surely then you will be ashamed
and humbled by all your wickedness.
23 O inhabitant of Lebanon,
nestled in the cedars,
how you will groan when pangs come on you,
pain like a woman in travail!
24 “As I live,” declares Adonai, “even if Coniah son of King Jehoiakim of Judah were a signet ring on My right hand, yet I would pull you off, 25 and give you over into the hand of those seeking your life, yes, into the hand of those whom you dread, even into the hand of King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon and into the hand of the Chaldeans. 26 So I will cast you out, with your mother who bore you, into another country where you were not born—and there will you die. 27 But as for the land where they long to return, they will never return there.”
28 Is this man Coniah a despised, shattered pot—
a jar with no delight in it?
Why are he and his seed cast out
into the land they do not know?
29 O land, land, land,
hear the word of Adonai!
30 Thus says Adonai:
“Write this man childless,
a man who will not prosper in his days.
For no man of his seed will prosper,
sitting on the throne of David
and ruling again in Judah.”
