²²Is there no balm in Gilead?^(A)
Is there no physician^(B) there?
Why then is there no healing^(C)
for the wound of my people?

¹¹Sube a Galaad y consigue bálsamo^(A),
Virgen^(B), hija de Egipto.
En vano has multiplicado los remedios^[a];
No hay curación para ti^(C).

¹¹“Go up to Gilead and get balm,^(A)
Virgin^(B) Daughter Egypt.
But you try many medicines in vain;
there is no healing^(C) for you.
