²⁵ Thus says the Lord, ‘If My ^(A)covenant for day and night stand not, and the ^[a]fixed patterns of heaven and earth I have ^(B)not established,

²⁶ then I would ^(A)reject the ^[a]descendants of Jacob and David My servant, ^[b]not taking from his ^[c]descendants ^(B)rulers over the ^[d]descendants of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. But I will ^(C)restore their ^[e]fortunes and will have ^(D)mercy on them.’”
