¹¹ Has this house, which is called by my name, become a den of robbers in your sight? I, too, am watching, says the Lord.^(A)

¹⁷ He was teaching and saying, “Is it not written,

¹³ He said to them, “It is written,

Jesus Cleanses the Temple

⁴⁵ Then he entered the temple and began to drive out those who were selling things^[a] there, ⁴⁶ and he said, “It is written,

¹⁶ I am now sending for many fishermen, says the Lord, and they shall catch them, and afterward I will send for many hunters, and they shall hunt them from every mountain and every hill and out of the clefts of the rocks.^{(A) 17} For my eyes are on all their ways; they are not hidden from my presence, nor is their iniquity concealed from my sight.^(B)

³³ then hear from heaven your dwelling place and do whatever the foreigners ask of you, so that all the peoples of the earth may know your name and fear you, as do your people Israel, and so they may know that your name has been invoked on this house that I have built.^(A)

The Message to Thyatira

¹⁸ “And to the angel of the church in Thyatira write: These are the words of the Son of God, who has eyes like a flame of fire and whose feet are like burnished bronze:^(A)

¹⁹ “I know your works: your love, faith, service, and endurance. I know that your latest works are greater than the first.

¹³ And before him no creature is hidden, but all are naked and laid bare to the eyes of the one to whom we must render an account.^(A)

¹⁶ He told those who were selling the doves, “Take these things out of here! Stop making my Father’s house a marketplace!”^(A)
